I just LOVE chicken! (Who doesn’t, right?)

Chicken is super versatile, delicious, and it can “go” with so many different dishes. It’s a great option to add protein and it’s easily dressed up or dressed down.

Update: 4/5/20 I know how stressful it is right now to be cooking 2-3 times a day while you’re also trying to work, “home school”, referee kids, and get your house under control. We created an epic inspiration binder of the easiest cheap meals. These ideas are field-tested by hundreds of thousands of our readers and are guaranteed to help even the most overwhelmed mom stick to a meal plan.

And we’re giving it to you 100% free right now so you can use it to help you get through this time. And bonus: You’ll end up using it long after the pandemic is over.

Grab it for free here…

Fast and easy is an understatement! Not only are these super simple recipes easy and cheap to make but my family loves them. So glad I found this, total game changer for when I need diner ideas on busy nights!!

Unfortunately, my husband and I are (insanely) busy most of the time, so there’s just no way I can take the time to oven-roast my own chicken. We don’t mind grilling occasionally, but who has time to (or really even wants to) haul out the grill every night? Well, not me!

When we do whip out the grill, I’ll often grill up a bunch of chicken breasts at once, to use in recipes. I chop them up, wrap them in waxed paper, and then freeze them. Then they’re all ready to throw in salads, soups, sandwiches, and pasta dishes.

I’d love to be able to say that I always have my own grilled chicken on hand, but let’s face it: I don’t have the time, you don’t have the time…so how about an easier option? When I don’t have any rotisserie chicken on hand, and I don’t have time to grill up my own chicken (or when I run out), I’m so glad Tyson’s Grilled & Ready Chicken Breasts are super easy to use, and already cooked and packaged.

These great recipe-helpers really help stretch out meals. They’re so nice because they’re pre-cooked and flavorful, plus, you don’t have to deal with raw chicken or worrying that you didn’t cook it enough. (Yuck.) The other great thing is that these chicken breasts aren’t dry, like some other precooked chicken can be. They’re moist and they add great flavor to any recipe.

When I have to stretch out dinner or when I don’t want to cook up chicken to add to a sandwich recipe, top a pizza, or put in a salad, these chicken breasts are ultra-convenient. I try to keep them on hand at all times!

Here are a ton of super-duper-easy and yummy Tyson’s Grilled and Ready Chicken Breast recipes my family loves!

ITALIAN CHICKEN AND PASTA SALAD WITH GREEN PEPPER, ONION, OLIVES, AND TOMATO

Take 2 Tyson frozen grilled chicken breast and microwave, per package instructions. At the same time, boil a box of rotini, and chop up onions, peppers, and a fleshy tomato. Once the pasta is boiled, combine with the chopped vegetables, then add sliced olives and a bottle of Italian dressing. Chop up chicken and toss in.

GRILLED CHICKEN FILLET AND MACARONI AND CHEESE

Heat up a Tyson frozen grilled chicken fillet in a sauté pan. While it’s heating through, cook up some macaroni and cheese on your stovetop, following package instructions. Serve with salad and topping of choice for chicken.

ALFREDO PASTA, CHICKEN, AND BACON BITS

Boil a box of rotini (or similar pasta). While pasta is cooking, microwave 2 fillets of Tyson frozen grilled chicken breast, per package instructions. Drain pasta, then stir in a bottle of Classico Alfredo Sauce (or other jarred sauce) and diced up cooked chicken. Sprinkle with bacon bits. Serve with salad.

CHICKEN, CORN, TOMATO, AND CHEDDAR CHEESE WRAPS WITH RANCH DIP

Microwave 2 Tyson grilled chicken fillets and dice into bite-sized pieces. Slice a beefsteak tomato. Layer burrito tortillas with diced chicken, canned corn, and diced tomato. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Serve with ranch dressing and a salad. Makes about 4 wraps. If you have leftovers, wrap in wax paper and foil and take to lunch the next day.

CHICKEN WALDORF SALAD USING FROZEN GRILLED CHICKEN

Microwave 2 Tyson grilled chicken breast, per package instructions, then dice them up. Finely dice an apple, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup of halved seedless grapes, and two stalks of diced celery. Stir in1/2 cup of mayo (or more, per your preference). Add salt and pepper. Mix well and serve. You can serve over lettuce or just enjoy on its own. This recipe also makes a GREAT sandwich filling!

CHICKEN QUESADILLAS

Microwave two frozen fillets of Tyson grilled chicken breast and dice finely along with green pepper and onion. Cook tortilla in pan on stove (spray with some cooking oil), fill with chicken, shredded cheese, salsa, green pepper, and onion. Top with a second tortilla and apply weight (such as a spatula or another frying pan). When it’s brown, flip and plate. Serve with salad or fruit.

CHICKEN PARMESAN USING FROZEN GRILLED CHICKEN

Cook two frozen fillets of (you guessed it) Tyson grilled chicken breast on the stovetop in a sauté pan. When they’re heated through, top with a generous spoonful of spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. As they’re cooking, boil thin spaghetti, drain and mix with remaining pasta sauce. Serve the chicken over the top of the spaghetti, and serve with salad.

CHICKEN FRIED RICE

Boil minute rice per package instructions (about five minutes) or use microwave rice, which cooks in 90 seconds. As rice cooks, heat oil in a pan, and cook up a frozen diced onion (you can buy these in the frozen food aisle for about $1), frozen peas, and a frozen Tyson grilled chicken breast. If you have extra time, also dice some celery and/or carrot. Break an egg or two into the hot oil and scramble quickly, then add drained rice, chicken and veggies to the oil and mix together. Add a pat of butter until melted and a bit of soy sauce. (Add the soy sauce slowly!! You can add more at the table, but too much soy sauce can ruin this dish quickly). Plate up and enjoy!

CHICKEN SALAD

Microwave a frozen Tyson grilled chicken breast and dice it into small pieces. Mix in spoonfuls of mayonnaise until you get the consistency you like. Add salt and pepper to taste, a little handful of chopped frozen onion (don’t even bother defrosting, they thaw quickly and help keep your sandwich cold), and chopped celery. Serve over salad greens or on bread (or bagels, toast, English muffins, hamburger buns, crackers or whatever you have in the house). This is a great simple meal if something interrupts your shopping day or if you miscalculated your meals and need a quick fill-in. You almost always have mayo in the fridge, so combine with chicken, put it on some crackers, and you’re good to go!

CHIPOTLE STYLE BOWL OR BURRITO

Either make microwavable white rice or boil minute rice the night before (while you make that night’s meal), then drain and stick in the fridge. Microwave two frozen Tyson grilled chicken breasts and dice. While making chicken, heat a small amount of oil in pan on medium-high heat. Add frozen green peppers and onions and cook until hot. (I buy a club pack of green peppers and a bag of onions every few weeks and slice up to freeze so I can use them as needed.) Add rice to pan, adding a splash of lime juice, a pat of butter, and a sprinkle of cilantro (all optional). Transfer mixture to bowls or roll in tortillas. Top with chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa or hot sauce.

CHINESE STIR FRY

Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add a handful of frozen stir-fry veggies and 2 frozen Tyson grilled chicken breasts. Microwave white rice for 90 seconds (or boil minute rice the night before, drain and store in fridge) and add to pan. Remove chicken breast from pan and dice up. Return chicken to pan and continue cooking until everything is hot. Add in Asian sauce of your choice. (I like Wegmans General Tso’s Sauce.) Dish onto plate and serve.

CHICKEN PARMESAN SANDWICHES

Microwave a Tyson grilled chicken breast, top with a spoonful of spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese. Place on toasted hamburger bun, serve and enjoy.

CHICKEN RICE-A-RONI WITH VEGETABLES AND CHICKEN

Prepare chicken flavored Rice-A-Roni according to package directions. While cooking, microwave a frozen Tyson Grilled Chicken Breast. Dice chicken. Add chicken and a drained can of mixed vegetables to the Rice-A-Roni. Serve with a salad.

As you can see, there are TONS of options to really ramp up the convenience of your meals. While using pre-grilled chicken isn’t for every meal or occasion (obviously), for my family, it really helps us stay on track and avoid spending a bunch of money at restaurants. They just make eating at home more convenient, faster, and sooo much easier!
