How to hire a negotiator to reduce monthly bills

Thank you to BillCutterz for sponsoring this post!

What if I told you that you could negotiate lower payments for every single one of your monthly bills? I mean really negotiate. It’s a well-practiced art, one that I’ve been involved with for years and am still learning.

What would that save you?

Well, let’s say we shaved $10 off your cell phone bill, $30 off your cable/satellite package, and $10 off your internet bill per month.

If we could do all of that, then we could save $50 every month. The best part? The savings continue month after month! In a year, we would have saved $600 and in 5 years we would have saved $3,000 (sounds like you’re going to Disney World!)

We’ve done just that! Several times in fact. There’s a few drawbacks though… You need to know what you’re doing. It takes an immense amount of time and effort. It’s a practiced skill, which means that the first year you do it, you’ll get just a fraction of the results that you could have gotten.

BillCutterz came up with a whole business model surrounding this problem. They have professional negotiators. People that are really, really good at what they do. They’ll negotiate all of your bills on your behalf and get you the absolute best price.

The best part? You don’t pay a dime up front. Not a single dime.

Once they’ve worked their magic and reduced your bills, they take half of the amount that they saved you as their fee for 12 months, and after the 12 months, you get the full savings. That’s a great deal in my opinion, because they can negotiate prices that we can’t and there’s absolutely no risk since you aren’t paying for anything until you get the lower rate. The coolest part? Billcutterz incentive is to save you as much money as possible because they get 50% of the savings!

The Savings potential on this is huge for your budget. Monthly bills are something that people just think of as unchangeable. By reducing the amount that you need to pay to your monthly bills, you free up money to attack debt or throw into savings.

Why should I do this instead of negotiating myself?

After negotiating my rates for 3 of the last 5 years, I can tell you that it’s not easy.

Depending on the integrity of your service provider, they can make you a great deal and then bury you in hidden charges and fees. Or you can snap up an “awesome deal”, only to find out that someone else was able to negotiate $50/month lower than you. Plus there’s the hassle of long hold times and supervisors and then following up to make sure they did what they said they were going to do.

It’s a hassle. It’s not fun. But it’s important.

So, my suggestion is that if you’ve been putting this off, then you must visit BillCutterz now. For every year that you push it off, you waste more money. It’s important to get the savings as early as possible so that your savings add up.

I’d much rather you get this done in the next 10 minutes with a quick submission form at BillCutterz then come back to me in 5 years and say, “I’m going to negotiate those rates now! I found some free time to tackle that!” Because I’ll be in Disney World with my screaming children spending my Billcutterz savings and won’t be able to hear you.

How do they get their 50%?

BillCutterz will send you a monthly bill (kind of ironic, huh?) for half the amount that they saved you. You can pay monthly or grab a 10% savings by paying for the whole year in a lump sum.

What if I move or cancel a service after they negotiated the bill?

BillCutterz only gets 50% of actual savings. If you cancel the service or move and no longer get the savings, then you only owe Billcutterz any savings you received.

What kind of bills can I have them negotiate?

The only bills they don’t negotiate are credit cards or medical/student loans, debt, and regulated utilities like electricity (except in Texas where electricity isn’t regulated apparently). Don’t just send the usual cell phone plan, cable/satellite bill, internet bill, and electric bill though; I would send them all your monthly bills and just see what they can do to save you money. If they don’t save you money on a particular bill, there is NO charge to you on that bill! It’s a free look to see if you are getting the best rates possible on all your monthly bills.

How do I get started?

It’s actually really easy. You fill out a short form (mine took less than a minute and I did it on my iPhone). Then you can either take a quick photo of your paper bills and upload them as a picture or go the super easy route. (I’m all about the easy route!) If you get your bills emailed to you, just forward the emails to them. They’ll get to work right away to start saving you money.

Haha, yep, we could all do with a professional out there negotiating our bills…

Just imagine if you could do the same with your salary! Have a slick pro negotiator between you and your boss, add an extra 10% to your next performance review… It’d be nice!

Services like this are actually pretty useful, I’ve had some luck getting an ever-rising internet bill cut a bit. Everyone won. Well, except the ISP. But that’s alright this time!

And, one of the best parts is that the monthly savings just keep building up in your budget. It’s not a one time thing!
