Get a free letter from santa! What a sweet idea! My little guy would love this.

Thanks to Safeway for sponsoring this post! All opinions are mine, and mine alone.

Safeway has a fantastic free personalized letter from Santa for you today!

Christmas is a magical time to be a kid. There are so many things for kids to look forward to this time of year. Presents, Christmas lists, cookies, and treats… It’s fun to be a kid. Christmas can be just as magical and special if you’re an adult, as long as you focus on the right things.

There’s pressure to spend a ton of money to create the perfect Christmas. Ignore that. Look for meaningful free things that will bring wonderment to your child.

Picking out a Christmas tree, baking cookies (and eating them), late night hot cocoa parties, writing a Christmas wish list of what you want Santa to bring for others (you get the cutest answers for this; our toddler’s list included peanuts for all the elephants). Those are the things that he will remember forever.

My best advice for saving money this Christmas is to plan the traditions and the memories before you plan the gifts. Once you see all fo the traditions and experiences you’ll be giving, the gifts won’t seem as important. You won’t feel the need to “make Christmas great” by overspending and buying things to impress them. They’ll be impressed anyway.

This is the first year that our 3-year-old is old enough to know who Santa is and let me tell you, he’s a fan!

As a mom living on a tight budget, I look for Christmas traditions that I can share with my kids that are free. I want to create that magical experience while not compromising our budget and savings goals.

That’s why I was so excited to see the free Letter From Santa program from Safeway! They help you create a personalized letter from Santa to your child to create a lasting memory for your little ones.

Our son comes out to get the mail with me every single day and has never had a letter. You should have seen his jaw drop when he pulled out Santa’s letter!

He’s been telling everyone that Santa “mailed me” (except he has a little trouble saying “mailed” so it sounds like “mauled me”… still totally cute though).

There’s a total bonus in that now all we have to say is “I hope Santa doesn’t find out that you threw macaroni and cheese in your sister’s hair!” and he starts behaving.

Here’s how you can get your very own letter from Santa…

  1. Visit this site.
  2. Register with your information.
  3. Enter your child’s information and click submit.
  4. Print out the PDF letter and envelope they email to you.
  5. Stick it in your mailbox.
  6. Bring your kids out to the mailbox and act super excited when you see the letter from Santa!

Enjoy your freebie and I’d love to hear about your favorite Christmas traditions in the comments below!
