The Best Way to Save on Home Insurance

Thanks to Progressive for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

You know what’s super fun? Buying a house.

Not.

I mean, don’t get me wrong. The newness of it and all that is fun, but it’s a much more laborious process than I really expected – especially when you fall head-over-heels in love with a home that ends up having mold, rat, and cockroach issues.

Ask me how I know.

Fortunately, all our ducks are just about in a row – but in the process of looking for a home, I realized it’s much more complex than I ever realized.

However – I just learned about a new tool that makes looking for home insurance way, way easier. It’s Progressive’s HomeQuote Explorer.

Progressive's HomeQuote Explorer is the easiest and fastest way I've ever found to save on home insurance! Buying a home as always been a dream of my family's, but ALL the hassle that comes with it is NO fun! Thanks for the advice on Progressive's HomeQuote Explorer!

Everyone knows the best way to save money on the stuff you buy is to compare prices. When you want to buy, say, a new refrigerator, you’ll do your due diligence. You’ll look online and scour the paper ads you get in the mail to make sure you get a great deal. Right?

But when it comes to insurance, it can be a serious pain in the butt.

Before, if you wanted to compare companies, it would mean entering all your information about 500 times. Plus, there’s all the follow-up emails and phone calls for the companies you decide not to go with. It’s a lot.

Luckily, Progressive has now made the process immensely easier.  When you visit the homepage, you start by entering your address.  At that point, HomeQuote Explorer automatically pulls any information they can from public records – like square footage, number of bedrooms, etc.

Then it walks you through the rest of the process using pictures to help choose what features your house has. That’s awesome – because I don’t know about you, but I’m totally not a roof type/countertop expert. I just know I hope my roof doesn’t cave in, and that I clean my countertop about 10 times a day and it still never looks clean.

After you enter your information (Once! Just once!), you’ll be matched with a company based on your selections and provided rates and coverages from multiple companies for you to compare side-by-side. You can then select the policy that best meets your needs.

It’s pretty awesome, considering they’re the only company that does it.

Honestly, the HomeQuote Explorer is an amazing way to save time and money when you’re buying a house – and even if you’re not in the process of buying a house. If you want to try and save some money on your current home insurance policy and see what else is out there, I’d totally give HomeQuote Explorer a shot.

Excellent communication skills are a compulsory prerequisite for a consultant to do their job, because analysis and problem solving cannot even begin if the consultant is unable to exchange ideas and other information with the client or collect the necessary information they need for the analysis.

A complete home insurance not just gives protection to your building but also the components inside your plot like the garage, shed etc. There are even plans that provide coverage to home equipments like the electronics, furniture, home appliances which can be included with add-on packs: http://bit.ly/2EcuUm3
