This is such an easy dessert to throw together and is perfect for
  • 4 cups of sliced apples (about 6 medium-sized apples)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp of flour
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup of old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ cup of melted butter
  • Optional: 12- 4oz mason jars
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add apples and mix until coated. Spray containers with pam cooking spray. Place coated apples in mason jars or 8x8 pan.
  3. Combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda and baking powder in another bowl. Mix well, then dribble melted butter over the mixture.
  4. Top apples with topping mixture. (If you're using mason jars- place the mason jars on a baking sheet before placing them in the oven.) Bake for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and apples are tender.
